9th Cheongju International Craft Biennale, the entrance in the wall installed with discarded CDs which were contributed by citizens in Cheong-city, South Korea.

The exhibition for craft competition was planned and designed to promote innovative emerging craft artists selected through the 9th Cheongju international craft competition. 107 artworks were selected among 871 participants from 33 countries.

9th Cheongju International Craft Competition, Exhibition Scene. The exhibition was planned for viewers’ perspectives to observe the art-works pleasantly.

Those selected works had been exhibited in 2015 Cheonju international craft biennale 16. 09. 2015 – 25. 09. 2015.

This work preparation requires organization, planning, research and curation of works for the competition and the exhibition. This exhibition project had been processed in collaboration with young artists, university students in arts and craft, educators in creative sectors to make this event happen successfully.

Thanks to juries not only from South Korea but also from Australia, Norway, and Switzerland, the first prize was nominated throughout collective efforts and consensus for challenging to the next generation in arts and crafts.

Especially to evaluate the submitted artworks in a more productive manner, Cheongju international craft biennale competition team planned and organized the registration system of artworks from participants, and developed evaluation system for competition.

In the end, the exhibition of all the selected works for Cheong-ju International Craft Biennale was executed successfully with passion and effort in providing a platform to showcase new contemporary artworks to share those creative endeavor with the public.
